(Sound of ethereal chimes) Have you ever wondered what the hey-ho is down a fruithole? We all know what is up a fruithole, but down…is a more intriguing and mysterious direction…(whispered/closer) wouldn’t you say? (Normal volume) You are cordially invited to grab yer’ partners and roll away to a half sashay down the fruit hole with Papaya Lounges’ crew of loveable ninnies and find out! Now in its 7th season, the Papaya Lounge continues to serve up raw, unadulterated, live sh’bauchery to cream-up your cabaret-inspired performance rash. So throw your day planners into the fire and tattoo the show dates onto your pretty lil’ face and we’ll see you there!

So… the question at hand about what might be down a fruithole (which you’re never going to find out via the illusions of the internet). Here is a series of nip-frosting hints to lube your curious kazoos:
What you find down there will be turbocharged with slurp-worthy shenanigans that are campy, educational, and horny-esque.
Think the flavour of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse (as you do) with a skosh of Absolutely Fabulous (or Fabuhopft as the Germans would say) sassed up with a little Sesame Street (but dark-mode).
Your ravishing host, Velvet Q. Jones, played by Sarah McKinney, her non-sexual life partner Nancy Schwienback, played by Alyssa Hughlett, and her personal bartender and witch-best friend, Musty Beaver, played by Janessa Johnsrude, will lead the fruithole navigation with the subtlety of their tropical fruit-flavored wit. Special guests include Komboujia, Will English, Jesse March, and Evan Grande!
Technically not a hint, but a nip-frosting tip: Get your tickets early, because Papaya Lounge tends to sell out.
Tinkle Tanklin’ down the hole on their chosen life-instruments is the beloved Papaya house band, the Enthusiastic Consents, featuring: Cory Goldman on guitar, Michael (Tofu) Schwartz on drums, Marla Joy on horn(s), Nate Zwerdling (of Zwerdling, Zwerdling, and Zwerdling) on bass, and Tim Randles on keys.
As part of the closing night dance-party tradition, DJ Dry hump will bedazzle the Logger Bar with beats after the show on March 7. You must be 21 + to attend this brewed haha.

Thank you to to all the sexy people that came out to this years’ rompulompous for another sold-out run January 31/Feburary 1 & February 6/7/8 at the Carlo Theatre. We’re not dead (anymore) and by golly we shall continue. Keep your eyes on us for when we emerge from our post-show hole with more tasty shenanigans.

This year’s haunted hoedown twisted down mystical port-holios beyond the veil. With delightful otherworldly wizardry, the Papaya Lounge’s cast of ding dongs confronted the great beyond (all while sporting great behinds) and baked a situational pie tasting of Agent Scully and Peewee Herman all at once. Special guests included Komboujia, Will English, Jesse March, Alessandra Russo, and Victoria Timoteo.
The Papaya Lounge experience features the musical stylings of the Papaya house band, the Enthusiastic Consents, featuring some of Humboldt’s finest musicians…this year they were: Doug Marcum on guitar, Michael (Tofu) Schwartz on drums, Marla Joy on horn(s), Ken Lawrence on bass, and Tim Randles on keys.

PAPAYA LOUNGE: ET CUM SPIRITU

Papaya Lounge’s audacious annual cabaret-style show sold-out for the fourth season in a row. Thanks to all who came out for the shindig. Keep an eye out for our next one in 2025!
**WARNING UPDATE: Papaya Productions recommended that if you purchased a ticket, you got yourself some kind of adult diaper situation or did a ton of kegels before you came to the show because you just might have pissed yourself with shock and/or laughter. We are thankful you heeded this warning because clean-up was relatively easy and the sticky stuff on the floor wasn’t piss we were mopping up after even .

Audiences joined our blessedly sinful host, Velvet Q. Jones, her non-sexual life partner Nancy Schwartz, and her personal bartender, psychologist, and witch-wizard, Musty Beaver, as they razzle dazzled with their terrible and simultaneously endearing personalities in an effort to save the Papaya Lounge from a bunch of Texan Republicans who were adamantly against anal (that was the premise). All this against a backdrop of sparkling songs and top-hole guest acts that featured Jesse March, Komboujia, Gini Noggle, Will English, and Jesus Christ himself (played by Nancy Schwartz who was played by Kaitlen Osburn).
We love our band, the Enthusiastic Consents, who lit up the show and features some of Humboldt’s finest musicians: Cory Goldman on guitar, Michael (Tofu) Schwartz on drums, Marla Joy on horn(s), Nate Zwerdling on bass, and Tim Randles on keys.
The Saturday night January 27th performance was followed by an after dance-party at the world famous Logger Bar with beats by the delicious DJ Dry Hump.

RUMBLE ROYALE II: SLOPPY SECONDS

Thank you for those who slopped, dropped and rolled…up to Septentrio Winery with their fun-loving pals for Papaya Lounge Rumble Royale II: Sloppy Seconds. After the 2022 Rumble, Humboldt asked for another serving of delicious partying and so the juicy and alluring Papaya crew came back with two special evenings of unhallowed good times.

PAPAYA LOUNGE: POSSESSED

Audiences came and sunk their weird little vampire teeth into a shimmering night of hypnotic performance! Our annual fall cabaret never fails to bewitch with a fabulous line-up and stacked-ass bar.
Oh…and we had a special thing happen after the Saturday night show. DJ DRY HUMP took down the house and kept the party lit in a post-show prance-dance. We boot scooted and new boot goofed our way to Sunday!
The busty and beautiful hostess, Velvet Q. Jones, her non-sexual life partner, Nancy Schwann [sic], and Papaya’s resident psychiatrist, pharmacist, and cocktail slinger, Musty Beaver got into some seriously bizarre shit on this one, friends. Think…underground lounge meets a whisper from another dimension. Together, they shimmied up a tree of divine dark arts like monkeys in heat and then swing from the branches of absurdity in a tandem position (Brokeback Mountain style)….meets cabaret.
Nancy was being a b-word, and Velvet wished she would be more like her (you know, wide-set, available, and down for pretty much anything…AN-Y-THING). Musty got kicked out of California witch camp for inappropriate relations with a warlock, but broke their ban her spellcasting to try and change Nancy for the better. But uh-oh, the spell went awry and Nancy got possessed by a demon. The crew united in the first ever aborticism (abortion-exorcism) to restore the lounge back to it’s former chaos. PHEW. Miss Behaivin’ and Eunice also joined us!

PAPAYA LOUNGE: RUMBLE ROYALE
April 22 and 23, 2022 at Septentrio Winery.
We took over Septentrio Winery with the first-ever Papaya Lounge Rumble Royale; the most ruckus of smackdowns slapping that frown right off our audiences’ gorgeous faces and then we frenched kissed them with unparalleled passion. It was an irreverent night of human degeneracy (with wine!) where we pumped up our juice, got loose, and did things that involved a lot of whip cream. Our dazzling audience showcased their talents and skills and everyone drank a lot and danced. Our band killed it and we can’t wait to go back to Septentrio for more!
